The opportunity for this shot was presented to me in my backyard where, luckily, I was acquainting myself with some of the deeper technicalities of my camera. (have had it a year & still learning)  What better time to test it out?  Here you see the bird preparing for flight as I approached the limits of his 'comfort zone'.  The next shot in the burst shows only tail feathers.  :-)  Best, LM.
