A girl on Fool's day

More psychology than taste, I wanted her in to add to the atmosphere of the 1th of April thinking that the center of attention is still on the main subject!

As I said above that was one of the first my shots with a digital camera, about eight years ago and you can imagine how was I delighted with the result jumping from film scans to digital!

A very nice picture, I like it!. The girl is really lovely on Fool's Day. As others have said, you have made a good use of the flash, but in order to avoid distractions from behind, to avoid strong colors, you can get the right background just stepping left or right, one or two steps... and look for gray and black colors. It's true that children want never to wait too much to get their photos.

If the camera was compact, I think the macro may be used to blur the background. Anyway it's a beautiful portrait.

Dear Laura,

 

Thank you for your help! In this case I didn't need to avoid the surrounding with its strong colors and the girl behind for I should show a bit of the atmosphere on our piazza on the 1th of April!

The mystery and the promise of youth, I feel nostalgia every time I see it.

 

A simple photo in appearance but deceivingly so, for it is one that captures something beyond the street scene that it portrays. Of course I see a new image posted by my friend Pierre and I want to see what he has done. But I would have stopped to look at this photo whoever had shown it, for the content is more meaningful than one first sees.  I also like the little girl in pink peeping at us from a distance. Both are a reminder of the generation that looks at us for guidance and I wonder sometime what kind of a world we are preparing for them.

Come ho detto sopra, prendo molto seriamente la fotografia, ah! Non ho preso una bella foto per un'eternità, depressione amico mio! Tutta l'attrezzatura è in attesa per me, macchina fotografica, videocamera, una macchina fotografica più adatta alla mia tasca ... e niente, ho sempre rimandare la mia fotografia viaggio!
