nikonuserf100 0 Posted September 16, 2003 Canyonlands National Park is seen through Mesa Arch. The canyon bottom is 1600 feet below this point. Link to comment
frolickingbits 1 Posted September 16, 2003 i like the framing of the photo with that rock, and I can almost feel the heat of the photo. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted September 16, 2003 Good shot. Makes you feel like you're there looking through the window. What a view! Link to comment
denise_goldstein 0 Posted September 16, 2003 I love the desert colors. Great job of framing the scene. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted September 17, 2003 I have seen many pics of these areas. It needs a wider angle lens. Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted September 17, 2003 I've seen photos like mine in Photo.net and national magazines. You get a fuller photo of the arch and valley below with a wide angle lens, but the large pinnacles and rock formations seem further away with not much detail. I think 24mm was the right lens to use. Besides, a 24 mm was the widest lens I had. Link to comment
image-flash 0 Posted November 22, 2003 This is nice. I just made a critique on your impressionist picture. Like I said I don't really like photoshop painting filters but I could see that your picture was nice at beginning. So I went to see your portfolio... really nice pictures!!! Link to comment
dom_forte 0 Posted March 2, 2004 I love the composition: looking thru the arch to the valley below. Excellent. Great colors. Link to comment
ndt_photo 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Nice view through the rock. I like your answer to the previous post to go wider... I too am limited in lenses so I have to make them work for the places I go... As for the technical aspects, it is a bit washed out colorwise in the foreground. Maybe lower the overall contrast and up the saturation? I would crop the upper left out too so the top of the image is 100% rock. Link to comment
