Dear Pierre, this is an image of great beauty.

I think the tulip is not so lonely, it's side by side with its astounding beauty! Red is a very passionate color and combined with yellow, I can not stop thinking about my country and its colors :) a good symbol for me.

I'm impressed by the sharpness and vivid colors.

I love it! Congratulations. Kindest regards, Laura Marco.

Much obliged, dear Laura!

This picture was taken seven years ago and I was now surprised with the close up abilities of the same lens I'm using today! I don't unfortunately have a tulip at the moment in order to check from which distance this DOF could be achieved and I certainly don't remember was there a huge cropping or not!

Thank you for your very kind and nice comment!

Hi, Pierre! Thank you! I didn't oppose anything (and never would, as I totally understand that you know what you are doing, technically and artistically) . I said, I am confused taking into consideration Mike's comments on F number and abilities of lenses and cameras. ( I respect his knowledge and grateful for commenting my pictures).

I just saw and excellent result you achieved and hoped I could pick your brain.... Thanks again. Tamara

Dear Tamara,

Uncle Mike was always up to the best that lens could give theoretically, but sometimes we have other needs, like here DOF and must go to the optimal!

I understand you well!

Cheers
