Wow, this little guy let you get close!  While not the most elusive of birds, they rarely let anyone get this up close and personal.  Excellent shot with fine detail... Mike

He didn't seem to be too afraid of me or my grandson.  Could be, since it was near a well traveled foot path, that he wasn't too afraid of people in general.  I took a few frames at about 10 ft. then a few more as I slowly advanced toward him.  Couldn't have been much more than 7ft. away with this shot.  Couldn't accept his offer of lunch!  I hate raw bugs. :-)  Thanks for your visit.  Best, LM.

Exceptional fine detail and the F/ 13 setting seems to have everything in focus and sharp!

Hi Len, I just found this. Quite impressive detail, actually it's incredibly sharp. Perfect composition too. He's certainly got a beak full of food. Great work.
