audrey lee reid 0 Posted September 15, 2003 Would appreciate any advice on high key processing please. Link to comment
tra 0 Posted September 16, 2003 I haven't produced many high key images, but I do think that the eyes in this image look quite unnatural. They don't quite keep with the ambient contrast you've established for the photo. Very nice portrait though. Regards, Thomas A Link to comment

audrey lee reid 0 Posted September 16, 2003 Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I had fun playing with this little girl. Messing with the shot in PS was fun too, but if my life depended on it, I couldn't tell you how I got here. Glad there's no tests to pass. Link to comment
jacoangeli 0 Posted September 18, 2003 No big experience with high key! The portrait is a very interesting one and well done. If a portrait must capture the mistery of the subject, thi is achieved here. Regards. Link to comment

jimmcnitt 0 Posted September 18, 2003 Hi Audrey: Your work yielded a unique portrait that connects instantly with the viewer and radiates selfconfidence. Can't see how you can improve on this. As for the high key effect in general, it usually takes a very bright but even backlight to be effective. Which is what you seem to have here. As you tell by her shirt, it get's trickier with blondes. --Jim Link to comment

sky blue 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Confident eyes and an almost confident expression. Nice Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted May 27, 2007 I think Sky has nailed the story of your photo.Usually, when one speaks of High-key, they refer to tones registered from white to mid-grey. I would say that you've combined high-key and low-key in this exquisite photo. Link to comment
steve_robb1 0 Posted October 29, 2008 that's a whole new level of high key! It's a nice pic, personally I don't really care for it (I think the extreme contrast between the eyes and skin is just throwing my brain, which is 'expecting' them to be similar tones :P ), but very well executed none the less. 4/7 Link to comment
