Sorry, but my first impression was:  "Well, here's our Kim Kardashian shot of the day!"  Of course my apologies to the horse! ;-)

As for the photo, I like the soft perimeter focus that does impart a feeling of motion.  I would have liked to see the horses feet though.  Your b/w conversion is well done and has a very timeless quality.

Well done and welcome to PNet... Mike

I agree alot with the points Mike (MLM) above mentions.

I like the B&W and the somewhat "Old Photo" look your shot here has about it.

For me, not having the Horses four feet in the frame sort of spoils the shot.

Well worth a "re-do" should the opportunity present itself again.

Welcome to PN and, we hope to see your Gallery grow over time.

Cheers & Regards always,

Jim j.

Hi Anindita,

What others have said above plus it is generally considered better to have the subject entering the scene as opposed to your image - having the subject leave the scene - meaning in your shot the horse should be on the RH side with most of the background in front of the horse.

Anindita, I'm going to have to go against the group on this one. The combination of peripheral blur and the absence of the horse's feet give me a sense of being in the scene with the horse, as if I'm following close behind. I think this is a wonderful shot. It's going into my favorites folder.

I really have to agree with Amy; that was my impression too - as if I were present in this scene, riding behind. Nice work! Thank you for sharing. :)
