Fox on alert

Captured that fox as it was giving its close surroundings a last glance

before ambling down the hill toward the barn behind . Stanley Bridge , PEI .

Great detail, from the tip of his(her?) right ear to the end of the bushy tail.  We do not have foxes in New Zealand, so was very interested in seeing one in this forum.

The coat is quite light in colour and from my very limited knowledge of mammals this may well be the season or time of year ??

Thank you Mike for commenting , absolutely appreciate your attention to this photo , indeed there is no exif for this particular file although i have a similar pic of the very same fox from a different angle taken mere seconds later and it's all there , must have lost this photo's data while post-processing i guess , it happened before .... got to look into that ...for my own peace of mind . Cheers 

This one wasn't looking for a mate i gather perhaps he was aiming for live chicken down at the barn ! Did not know there weren't any foxes in NZ , this comse as a real surprise to me i'll admit , must have seen one or two a day everyday for 10 days  in PEI ( Prince Edward Island )  they seem to thrive there !
