I took this shot in an IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) Camp in Georgia

just outside of the capital Tbilisi. The camp houses families made

homeless by the 2008 war between Georgia and South Ossetia/Russia.

The child holding a toy gun is totally innocent but the pose he struck as I

took the shot chilled me to the bone!

a humorous photo it seems at first sight but the story behind it is certainly nothing to laugh at. Apart from strong emotions, an impressive range of patterns, shapes and textures also attracts attention. The photo lacks contrast a bit but it's a great documentary anyway. Browsing through your whole 'Republic of Georgia' project is a trully memorable experience. Thank you for sharing.
