Jack, this is perfect photography. both real and absurd.

and we both know, how hard is this to achieve.

perfect "placement" of people and objects in space.

one question - the light in top right corner is real?

my compliments, Jack

Off with their heads! My daughter used to draw noses that looked like two camel humps. Took awhile to realize that was what she was looking at as she looked up peoples noses. Ha ha! Kids certainly do look at things from another perspective.

One of the things I like about this is the curve connecting the three people in the image. I also like the color and lighting. And there is a progression of the stages of life: young child - young adult - decrepit, meanwhile life goes on around them.

I didn't see the title on the thumbnail up there and just that title came to my mind at once! That's what I call a good photograph! Compliments, Jack!

Best regards

Once again we see this familiar street corner, your playground of choice. Theme white, sort of. To me funny detail those stripes on kid's sleeve mimicking background  zebra stripes, and that he holds a white paper compensating the wrong color of his shirt. Further this photo reminds me our Swiss friend Laurent, who also captured goodies with zebra stripes all over the place and similar in spirit, you remember?. I had to take a memorial visit to his portfolio... those were good times... I mentioned this not to dillute the quality of this capture, you must know.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get around to thanking you for leaving a comment on this picture. I think many of you saw the same possibilities that I did. I've taken shots at this corner numerous times; it's like a favorite fishing hole and I've caught a couple of nice ones here.

Markku, yes I certainly remember my old friend Laurent Jaussi and another Laurent you might also remember, Laurent Lacoste. They were two exceptional photographers and are much missed. I had some wonderful exchanges with them and others from that era. Quite a time back then.

Love it.  As you probably figure I would.  Not sure how you managed to angle like this, to have the two adult heads so evenly unseen and balancing each other.  Also like the extent of the frame, from the kid at left, to the adult at far right...just really nicely balanced and seems...well, "right".

Thanks for the comment on this picture and the others also. I've been pretty scarce on pn lately. I've had a touch of the flu which still lingers a couple of weeks in and which makes me feel very blah and uncreative. I just posted a couple of pictures, the first in weeks and I've been working on my photos again with a bit of renewed enthusiasm. Been a lot of deleting, that's for sure. I go through these foggy periods with regularity but each time I think this time I've really lost it. Somehow I always magically emerge into the light again, rejuvenated. Hopefully that's the case this time, too. Don't want to spend to much time wondering what's it all about; I might come up with an answer and sink myself for good. All the best, Jack
