brilliant! I like the high contrast because it forces the viewer's attention to the skin, and it's got good use of negative space. It's a great photo.

Any closer "cropping" of the subject would have ruined the effect... you got it just right! Works with the negative space, making the viewer study the curves and details, like features in a landscape scene, although more subtle and uncluttered. It might also work with a dark gray background...

Almost all possible ratings were given.

I cannot figure out why.

This is not the kind of polemic shot that would lead to such different opinions (at least that's what I think...)
