artwork 2014 - part i Cannot Play...

I cannot play ... I need your musical scores, the ones that I have, are

no useful to me ... they're forgotten at the . No music sounds, the

place is empty, it's just filled with a curious hoopoe, which does not

hesitate to eat the remains of the meal, slipped through the hole in

the roof, attracted by the food. She's not scared, cause there's no

much noise in the place. I need to move my fingers, educate them by

sliding on the fretboard ... I've got nothing. I stand frozen in the

painting waiting for them, now there is no scene with life, just the

colorful hoopoe ... will they come?, will I hear to them? ...

A very fine and creative composition. The words, in this case, do complement the image, they go together, they blend, they rhyme. Artistic in every sense. Congratulations.

This saying is true: "A picture speaks a thousand words", but sometimes I'm convinced that words and their meanings can beautify and make known the meaning of the work. The germ that boosts the image to be that way at the end...

In the first line (by mistake) there're missing words: "they're forgotten at the musical lectern. No music sounds..."

Music massages the pleasure centers of my brain so this images sings to me. I can sense a simple and melodious tune. All tones (music and colors) seem to balance very nicely since it sets a mood - a mood where one most darken the room so that there is less visual stimulus so that the song is the dominant presence. Alas, there is a small need to better see the performer plucking  the strings of the guitar. To satisfy that end, I am thinking that I would like to see the performer and the guitar - just a tad (tiny amount)  lighter which , of course, is strictly a personal preference.

Dear Tony, I know that music is important for you because in your bio, you say that you play piano :) yes, it's a simple melody, but even... looking at the right hand, fingers are resting ... resting on the guitar case, near the mouth, only the thumb is still on the 5th string.

Actually, in the original photo the woman was resting, looking out, in front of a small window, looking at distant stone ruins. Now when I see images of people playing guitar, just seeing fingers, I get an idea, whether they can play or not. I wanted the forgotten musical score to be the center of attention. I recently had problems with the scores, they're either too simple or really difficult, there was no middle ground. That I wanted to be reflected in this work, the belonged score with the magic to be able to let the woman "exit the portrait" and return to play again. She rests, fingers relaxed, no play, though there's music in the scene, thanks for this feeling. I totally agree that she should have been a little more enlightened. In the next one...
