As usual I've lots of doubts... What do you think of this photo?

My doubt is if adding these 4 photos together had created something

more interesting or if it was better to leave any of them alone and

in its real size. And more, I love to contrast at maximum with

photoshop or in dark room to have these black silhouettes... What do

you think about that? Do you like it, or you prefer to have more

details in the black areas?

Thank you, any comment is welcome

You've done the right thing putting this four shots together, they would be just a mediocre image if you were showing them alone. In this way, you're playing with the geometrics really well. An idea that with I wuold keep on experimenting. Maybe I would try one of this recomposition without the lamp, i.e. all of them with a pole; and also with the cable lines going to the center, just like you've done with the two shots on the lower half. Just ideas...

The increase in contrast to make them look as simple sillhouettes is also fine.

I don't think these were mediocre images if presented alone, I love the composition in the top left image. nice work both as a collection and single photos.

my problem about the collection is that two bottom photos are telling almost the same story I think you should better use different kind of composition for one of them.

Echoing Arash's comments - I too love the composition of the top left image, and also think the collection would be stronger if the bottom two images were different. Still a great overall image. Nice work.

I feel the top left image would make a great shot on its own.

Cheers.

This grouping is very interesting. I think the only photo that could stand on its own is the upper left one. The crossing lines and the street lamp make all the difference.

This is one of the most original photos I've seen here in a while. It is striking in its power. It is industrial, highly graphic, and conveys a strong mood in the monotone b&w. I love the dark silhouette of the lines, poles, birds, and streetlight against the amorphous tones created by the clouds.

Each photo is very well done individually but the montage of four sets it apart. I encourage you to do a series like this. You are on to something here.

After your advices, I decided to keep on my research on black silhouettes. Sure I will print by its own the top left image.

I agree with the fact that the two bottom images are too similar... but I've no more! I will take some new photo of the pidgeons in that square... it's only a bit dangerous cause that square is also their toilet, and I hope not to receive some "present" on my Olympus XA ;-) Bye
