Yellow Fellow

Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique rate and, allowing

me the opportunity to share!

I would like to ask for some identification help though!

When I first spotted one of these about four days ago I saw the bright

yellow and of course immediately thought of either an Oriole or

Goldfinch. However, I can't find this one in my field guide.

They do eat insects they pick off the leafs of the trees along the

shoreline of the lake.

I was thinking possibly one of the Warbler's or Tanager's but not certain.

I am in the Northeastern part of Oklahoma.

The color is just as it came out of the camera and as I saw it in the

morning light. I do believe the blue is due to the iridescence of those

feathers. In some of the other images that portion looks more a charcoal

type gray to black in color.

This is a great shot showing excellent detail.  I have been looking in my bird book but couldn't find an ID.  

Only this one is more usual, the other one was a bit more original, joyful or whatever different from the usual bird pictures! Well done Jim!

it is a prothonatory warbler.
