steve g 0 Posted September 10, 2003 Would have liked to see a slightly brighter ground, but this is beautiful anyway. Link to comment
dan_lindsay 0 Posted September 10, 2003 Compositionally this is a great image. Unfortunately, something happened when you resized it for posting here. I suspect JPEG compression. Unfortunately, it has rendered some artifacting in the foreground. Supe work, however! Thanks for sharing with us. Link to comment

cq_zhang 0 Posted September 11, 2003 Thank you for your kindly critiques. And I am glad to share my experience how I processed this photo. The photo was taken (30 seconds/f8) about 40 minutes before dawn and its quality is not very good due to Minolta D7's noise and not using GD filter. At that moment, the land was sleeping under the moonlight and the sun was climbing slowly. I felt wonderful like that I would have been the only one in the world. I think it is my incentive to process this photo. To my surprise, it did show me its capacity to restore my feelings when I used PS Curve to test it. Being driven by the charm of the photo, I processed the sky and the land separately and used Gauss Blur filter to limit noise A mistake was found to use PL filter and made very difficult to adjust tone because of the dark color on up-right corner. I stopped at a balanced version till I felt tired. I think I got my goal basically although I felt losing control in several respects. Thanks again. Link to comment
