This simple old church is a place I loved to go, to commune with the past.

So peaceful and yet so alive. On my latest visit I found this sign erected,

my space invaded by the cult of Health and Safety.

Tony.  Great job.  I love the tonal range and composition.  The sign is a distraction but also interesting in this context.  It appears to point directly into the corner, which, in my limited experience, would be a terrible fire exit. Absurd and beautiful.  Cool.  Dana...

I know how you feel, Antony. I used to shoot weddings and so many images of brides coming down the aisle have a glowing, neon "EXIT" sign above her head. This is an incredibly cool shot in spite of the intrusive sign. Thanks for sharing.

It is almost as if a 'spirit' is present that just does not belong. I really like this composition - in the 'spirit' of why you took it, as well as the beautiful light, textured old walls, and the intersecting lines of window, walls and ceiling.  I think it would look great also with the 'intruding' sign cloned out. :)
