I like the diagonal striations in the background and the pinpoint focus on the spider's face.

I used color balance, levels and a slight desaturation to correct for the effect made with the levels to make an adjustment to your image.

As you can see I was also not very active these days. Your interpretation is valid of course but I wanted to keep the delicate pastel colors and the yellowish tinge of a dusty/sandy day.
