Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 10, 2014 Really? I must say, if you intended to pique our interest, you have succeeded (at least with me). Speculation runs rampant; questions sit unanswered. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted April 10, 2014 Piqued interest is often more exciting than reality. I live out in an unincorporated part of the county. What you see is my view looking left as I drive into the small town where I have my little office. For years, I've often seen this man carrying his cross and Bible throughout the streets and roads of the country side and two small cities. I've never snapped a picture before, but this afternoon after driving back into town from having lunch with my wife, I spotted him coming up the road so pulled over. I took this picture and then a few moments later, he looked my way and nodded. I waved and got back on the road. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 10, 2014 And that's what makes the world such an interesting place and photographing it such a rewarding experience. Very much enjoyed your story. Link to comment
nikita_roytman 0 Posted April 12, 2014 Hello Mark, a beautiful photograph with great back story as well as the story it tells by itself (open to interpretation). The composition is great, as is the black&white treatment! The image is quite dramatic and atmospheric. Best regards,Nikita Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted April 14, 2014 I would remove the portion of the post that extends into the sky via content-aware fill. It seriously distracts from the main subject. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks you Nikita. I always appreciate your insight. And a good point Jim. I should take that out, it adds nothing to the image. They've got those longer posts showing up periodically down that fence. Behind is a field often filled with cows, but that day it was empty. Link to comment
