I like the strong diagonal.  It's almost an abstraction in real-life except for the gent on the phone, which ushers reality back into the equation.

Real nice and dreamy "curtain" . Nice light ,and diagonaly 'cut" of composition. I agree with Jeff, about the human figure with the relative new technology....;-))

I like JeffS comment as well, want to add also that I think the reflections add another dynamic to the image as well. If it was just dry pavement, I don't think the image would be as compelling Jack. I like the light very much, it seems like a bright sunny day, the colour is refreshing as well. I do like black and white, but for this image and me longing to get away from Winter (it is finally happening), and the blah greys, dirty snow and salt that is left on the streets, this is a day that would put a 'spring' in my step. Thanks for sharing this 'sunshine' Jack, best always, Gail

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate them very much. Pnina, how are you getting along? Are you back to 100% yet? Gail, you made a couple of good points both of which were among the reasons I posted this in the first place. First, I agree with you about the reflection, it does add another dimension. Secondly, I think the light was perfect that day, not so bright to turn the curtain into a blinding distraction but strong enough to render detail and a gentle overall sense of color. Now that Spring has come, I expect to see a lot of new work from you.

Hi Jack, well it actually got to 21c today :) but more like an average of 12c for the rest of the week. I will be out soon. Tulips are just a few inches above the ground. I have been doing a lot of printing for my Grandaughter's Scrapbook she is starting, (lots of good memories for her to revisit). Also have been printing the odd comp into 13 x 19 and am pleased so far. I REALLY like this image, I know I am repeating myself, but the 'reflections' really do it for me. I feel like I could jump 'down' into a whole other dimension within the shot. Thanks for your encouragement Jack. :) maybe I'll even get some street shots in this year!
