In the week that saw 18 month old Percile-Liz Ikolo, and her mother, bailed from prison by the Scottish Socialist MSP Rosey Kane, children standing in front of the security fence let us know what they think. Meanwhile the Scottish Executive maintain their silence.

The interaction between the two girls is just great. Really takes it away from a simple protest shot imo. Nice capture

This is an interesting image. The girl is so parallel to your film plane she looks as flat the picket sign, almost like a cutout. The picture is almost bisected down the middle, with the girl representing order and the right side being more chaotic. The composition collapses a bit at the bottom because of the white banners, perhaps if you burned them in a little so they weren't so glaringly white. I woudl say crop it out as much as possible but the boy's hand over the edge on the right is a nice touch and the 3dimensional quality of the hand is in contrast to the flatness of the girl. Interesting photograph.

If you click on large you'll see it without the added photonet compression which can make pictures look flat.

I've used it a couple of times since and cropped it tighter on the left. Printing it with a black boarder solves any problem with the banner.
