I hadn't picked up the camera for a while but decided to go out last

weekend rain or shine. Well it rained but I managed to stay out a few

hours and take a few images under the umbrella. Thanks for viewing.

I greatly enjoy photographing in an old growth forest with it's wide variety of woody forms and green/yellow colors.  The challenge is to find an "aesthetically pleasing composition with this 'mess' of vegetation."  I like this from Bob -- it has many of the main characteristics of an old-growth forest, and it's something I'd hang on my wall (yes, I am a biologist).

Hi Bob,

It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the forests are where you live. I have never been to B.C. yet I would love to go. While we have beautiful forests here in Ontario, they of course do not have the 'climate' that makes for such lush colours and dense growth. The variety of colours and shapes reminds me what a 'fairyland' would look like if one 'existed'. I can only imagine the heady aroma that you enhale in a place like this. Magical places still exist, and you have one as a neighbor! Glorious imagery.

kind regards, Gail
