You have made magic with this picture, Gail.  I love the feeling of it,  I like the composition, the warm tones and post processing work.  It is a piece  of art! and a plus... your poetic words.

Kind regards,

Rosario.

Simply Wow! One cannot get away from this image once it stands out - as it does - from the thumbnails, only to encounter an exquisite composition. Artistic and full of sensibility one always finds in your work. A very rich and complex combination of colors, textures and overall play of elements. Cannot compliment this creation enough, so all I have left to say is: sincere congratulations.

It should be hanging in a gallery. When I need lessons on this post-processing I will be knocking on your door.

Marvelous colours and textures , a lovely warm feel to the image . Most people would walk by a rose in this condition , but you have managed to use it to tell a story in a work of Art ! Beautiful !! Bill

Hello my dear friend. I am so happy to hear from you and really humbled that you feel I have improved that much. You truly have watched me 'grow' since I joined PN, always there with words of encouragement. You have always been a source of 'smiles' for me, and for this I thank you Ricardo. I sent this image to my Father today and he emailed back saying it 'he was very proud of me'. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. My Dad has always been a source of inspiration with his many images taken and produced since I was a toddler.

With sincere appreciation to you dear Ricardo, I have to send you my BIG HUG, as I cannot give you one, but if I could, you know I would!!! :) Gail

Well, I almost deleted it Bill, because there was some blown out bright pink geraniums under it, but I decided I would rescue it. I loved it's 'posture', it seemed to be calling out for help and in so much need of attention. If I could have picked it and brought it home, I would have, but it was in an area where I was not allowed to pick the flowers. Thank you for your kind encouragement Bill, not a day goes by when I do not think of you. I am eager to see any of your new garden shots when you find time.

talk soon, Gail

Hello Gail.

I enjoy this in silence as I have nothing to add to what has already been said. Great work.

I read your image title, "My Weary Rose" and look at the piece, and somehow connect in that, . . . "I know how that Rose feels!"

Then, I read your introduction of Poetry, . . . that's nice and moving also but, even without it, . . . the image itself "speaks!"

Yes, I too can imagine this hanging in a Gallery somewhere, and I expect the image all by itself would "speak" to the masses that would view it, in any part of the world, . . . in any Language!

Thanks so much for sharing your talents,

Regards always,

Jim j.

Such lovely words you share. Makes the heart feel good. Nature seems to always 'speak' to us and we can identify with eve the 'posture' of a rose. When I first saw the 'rose' I was drawn to it. Your response is so moving. Thank you Jim.

humble regards, Gail

My apologies for not seeing your very intuitive comment sooner. I appreciate you sharing those thoughts with me so very much. I had not looked at this composition in that 'light' and it does suit it very well.

You have a sweetness of 'spirit' that uplifts me each time I see your name under one of my compositions. There are ones I post that I know you will love, and this was one. I know your love of red roses and what they mean to you. I hope I am not too late to send you big 'Hugs' back. We all can use a good Hug - whether it is from someone close by or from miles away. The sentiment is the same. Thank you for those encouraging remarks and for the friendship we share on PN!
