Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique rate and, allowing

me the opportunity to share!

You can tell its Springtime as the males do their dance and strut for the

females.

As you can tell, . . this Ol' Tom was very proud of himself and it was

pleasurable to watch him.

He reminded me of someone I know. Regardless of his efforts . . . the

females just ignored him!

This was taken hand-held the last 40 minutes before Sunset so, with

the slower shutter speed its not quite as sharp as I was hoping for but

again, with wildlife many times we have to take what we can get!

Thanks again for looking!

Regards always,

Jim j.

Jim,

this is a great capture of a Tom.  You can see lots of detail in the larger view.  I am still hoping to see one of these in the wild, but so far no joy.

These old Toms get real spooky in the Spring and are hard to approach (unless you're a hen).  Well captured... Mike

Jim, I really like the turkey, great detail and composition.  I think I would have cropped just a little more on the left side to get rid of the post (left top).  I still haven't been able to capture an image of one yet but they are around where I live in Manitoba.

Regards,

Dave

Well, when a 'male' is a 'strutt'n' I don't imagine he is still for long!!! What a fabulous display of colours in the plumage and head Jim. Very good detail in the feathers as well. I've never seen this 'display' before, so many thanks for sharing Jim!! Well done!

kind regards,Gail
