From what I can see, . . . there's nothing much to critique on this excellent shot of the Grey Owl! But, here's what I see, . . .and, my opinion for what it's worth!

 

Composition is very good and, it's almost as if the Owl is posing for you. Although the Owl is concentrating on something just to the right of your position. A little more direct eye contact with you might have been slightly better.

The lighting is very good for the natural environment showing all the fine details of the Owl.

The background in the distant has a nice "blur" to it and, the immediate background is not too distracting from the main subject of the Owl.

At first glance, I thought maybe this was in B&W but on closer examination I see that it's not. More a case of the Owl using its natural environment to camoflauge itself I think.

 

One I'd certainly be proud to have in my gallery!
