pnital 36 Posted March 10, 2014 Years ago , when I have visited Mexico, there are there water ways which is called "Sotchi milko,it is not very deep and seeing the man pushing the boat with this long stick,...reminded me this experience there..interesting composition. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 12, 2014 The vertical diagonal of the long stick seems not only to tie the levels of the photo together but seems almost to be the star of the photo. The supporting cast is like an ensemble on the water, though the leading man has a commanding if also gentle or at least calming presence. The processing of the black and white seems to focus us in on great detail while not distracting from the bigger picture. The people seem eminently engaged in what they're doing and the high key backdrop provides balance and expanse. The shimmer of the water is glassy. There's a play of documentary and legend here, a real scene recalling the best of seafaring fiction. Link to comment
