Pierre Dumas 277 Posted March 10, 2014 Quali problemi stai parlando, il mio caro amico! Non abbiamo problemi! Forse, a volte qualche migliaio al giorno! Ma solo a volte, ah! Ciaomau Pietro il umoristico Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted March 10, 2014 Dear Pierre, I'd like to say that I'm really fond of your mists, they are very well-done and nicely displayed in your compositions. You play both with colors or you leave everything fuzzy in your foggy landscapes, all is lost in these vapors. I congratulate you because it's masterly accomplished. The rider, reminds me of a Crusader, a man of the Crusades. He's making his way and he manages to go ahead across vapors thanks to his faith. The bird, falconry, leads me to that ancient world. In general, I want to emphasize that the composition is attractive and meets the classic rules about composition, the two-thirds rule and the rule of keeping simple. The focus is on the bird. I love it!My best regards and congratulations. LM Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 277 Posted March 11, 2014 Thank you, Laura! It was too simple for me and I did another one to give it perspective! Here it is: Link to comment
lauramarco 0 Posted March 11, 2014 Dear Pierre,I've seen the other photo with the second tree at the bottom and I find it interesting because, as you say, it gains perspective and it gives more depth to the picture. You can even play with depth of field by using the second tree. It's a better and singular version.Kindest regards. LM Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 277 Posted March 11, 2014 Dear Laura, Thank you for reminding that I can even "fake" low depth of field by blurring the objects which are in the distance, but that's for making montages which are not to be recognized (at first glance, there are machines which scan the picture anf tell you is it montage or not)! Thank you for the encouraging comment, too PDE Link to comment
museebfoto 2 Posted March 12, 2014 Dear PierreI have tried so many times to make some foggy effect, but each time I felt that I had lost realism. I feel that you have succeeded in this one, this feeling from the area surrounded the tree. Good work Pierre, best regards Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 277 Posted March 12, 2014 Dear Museeb, If you have problems with this matter, please message me and I will tell you all I know about thus matter Thank you for your visit and kind comment! PDE Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 13, 2014 I can't help you with the 'fog' really. Not any experience with it myself, hopefully one day though. I did look at your attached image, and it is quite nice Pierre!!! I think you are well on your way to finding a solution to the opacities of the layers of fog. You always do such good work. Pierre Dumas 277 Posted March 31, 2014 Hey, Stephanie! That is not an owl neither a sparrow as I call it, just an eagle in the ZOO! Thank you for your precious visit and comment!' PDE Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted April 4, 2014 Great composition. Love the foggy atmosphere here and the sense of mystery in the background. What's going on for the rider & horse? And of course who wouldn't sympathize with your cross eyed bird who has starred in many of your offerings. :-) Always a treat to see your latest. Best, LM. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 277 Posted April 4, 2014 Don't worry Len, they will find their way, after all it is not so foggy if we can see them, ha! Thank you for your witty comment, Len! PDE Link to comment
Dana C Doherty 400 Posted April 7, 2014 Pierre, your art always makes me think. I think "How did he do that?" and "What was his inspiration?" Then I get lost in the image like a child falling asleep as his parent reads him a bed time fantasy. What would all the elements in this photo say in that story? You are so much more than a photographer. You are an artist and imaginative story teller. Thanks, as always for the continued inspiration. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 277 Posted April 7, 2014 Oh, welcome Dana! Long time no see at my place, my friend! No much of a story in this one, at last what you see is what you get! I was trying to do something other than my always clean, crisp and razor sharp pictures, something misty, foggy, mysterious! I hope I did well for beginning! Cheers my friend and come back sometime!
