I imagine the point of interest is the boat, and yes, it does enhance the composition while still showing the receding snow and changing vegetation.  Nicely done.

I agree with Larry and Stephen: this is the stronger image. I like the cold and dreary mood. A great representation of early spring.

Very moody and moving scene presented very well, Jack.  Very sharp in enlarged view and nice DOF.  Produces mixed emotions in that it the bright colors of spring are not yet present it is clear that winter IS over.

I like it a lot...

Excellent detail in the marsh when viewed larger Jack. The boat does add extra interest. If you live somewhere cold, like me, I'm sure you've had enough Winter! Well done!
