I went back to the frozen fire site today and there was nothing but rubble but I did find this.

A very graphic and successful abstract.  I'm guessing these were icicles that you turned 90 degrees?   I could be wrong, but it's fun to guess.  I love it, whatever it is!

Christal - you are correct. I turned it 90 degrees.  If you turn it anti-clockwise you will get the 'true' orientation but that is not what I wanted. Trying to inject something a bit different and avoid being in a rut.

Similar thought and guess still I find it graphically impressive and up to Tony's standard.  Really excellent!

Quite unusual.  Ribbons of the natural word and then darkness.  The shape gives the feeling of a landscape, but upon further inspection, it's an illusion.

What a very interesting picture. I can't figure out what I'm looking at but it certainly holds my attention.

(later) I've read the comments and the mystery is solved but you fooled me (not some of the others who aren't half asleep as I usually am).

Bachir - thanks for the compliment. You should see the others I took that should be deleted but I find it tough to delete any images.

Dominic - Thanks for yoursupport.

Jack it is icicles hanging off a tree but you have to turn it anti-clockwise to see the true orientation. They resulted from firemen putting out a fire in below zero temperatures.

Tony, I was scrolling through your photos, saw this and simply gasped, "OMG." This is exquisite. Black and white, light and dark, riveting diagonals and triangles that lead the imagination to try ever harder to put a name on what the eyes see. My first impression was the open beak of a giant bird! I would hang this on my wall in a heartbeat!
