An odd capture with some of the snow crisply caught and others smeared and blurred as she is.  An interesting, somewhat emotionally dark piece, despite the bright snow.  I like the umbrella in the back, which is showing up here and there like your cones used to do.

interesting, and very moody composition. The blurred  figure in the snow walking toward the  RHS vs. the farawy walking  fhgure to the LHS, With the umbrella... a strong contrast  and a very   nice observation.

Your recent work often seems like stills from a movie. They make we want to know the larger story. (This has been my personal definition of a good photo for years, BTW).

This image hits home in my 'emotions'. When I was working at my first full time job, fresh out of High School, I was working in Toronto. A Blizzard was in full force, it was the weekend, and I had 3 different buses to take that normally would take about an hour, just to get me to the Go Train that would take me home. (a normal 2 hour trip). I stayed in Toronto during the week, it was the weekend, so my trek home involved toting a Suit Case while I climbed over snow banks attempting to make my way to the Bus. Buses were over an hour late. When I did make it to the Train, it was over an hour late. I left work at 2pm in the afternoon and arrived at the Train Station in Oshawa (30 miles East of Toronto)  where I lived at 7pm. I then had to take another bus to get to our 'downtown' area, where I would go 'on foot' to my home. It was close to 8pm before I managed to literally 'fall' through the entranceway to my parent's home. On top of it all, I had contracted a very bad Flu Virus. My head hurt so bad, my throat was closing up, and my eyes could not tolerate light. I don't remember much after I got home, except that I felt so fortunate to have a warm home to go to, despite the 6 hrs. it took me to arrive there. This young woman reminds me so much of myself, her expression as well. I can literally feel the 'fear' of the 'unknown'. Would I ever get home safely???? I too was totally unprepared for the Storm that seemed to 'swallow me up' that Friday so long ago.

Sorry for the story, can't help it, she feels like 'me', so long ago. Thanks for reminding me of how fortunate I was while growing up, despite the many conveniences my parents did without. They always provided a 'warm roof over our heads, and something warm to put in our tummies'. Yes, HOME. We are fortunate if we go through life, knowing that safe place to fall, when it is so needed. Well taken and presented Jack! :)Gail

The dance of the snowflakes makes this one an image from a book of fairy tales...

We are sorry for the girl at the moment. Still, we know things will become better soon; just before we go to sleep...
