It's a beautiful scene, and I appreciate your desire to have an attractive foreground.  Given the great DOF required, you might have tried two photos, one focused on the nearest flowers and the second focused as you have shown here, and then combine the two with focus stacking in photoshop.  That should result in a single image that is sharp from front to back.

I am with Stephen on this one, love image but I am distracted by what is in front of me. Perhaps cropping the frame or having two shots have made this a more balanced picture.
