peter_langfelder 3 Posted May 12, 2001 A good subject for black and white, nice tonal range. I think the framing is too tight and sort of boring - the edges of the tunnel are too close and too parallel to the edges of the photo for my taste. Perhaps leaving a bit more room to the left and on the bottom together with "unparalleling" the top edge of the tunnel with the photo's edge would be better. Link to comment
alex_hawley 0 Posted May 13, 2001 Aaron - I posted a similar shot on this forum a while back, and a reviewer gave me a valuable lesson. Without something in the frame that provides scale or life, this shot could have easily been made on a model railroad instead of the real thing. As a former model railroader, if this shot was taken on my layout, I would be quite pleased. But for real-life photography, it needs something to show its real-life; a person, a dog, or whatever.
