Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 3, 2014 Alf, believe it or not, my inspiration for these two last works was a certain scandal in my country archeology! Museum pieces constant disappearance for years and even decades, digging of "wild" diggers as we call them and spreading artifacts around the world in unknown private collections etc! Thank you for your visit and nice comment! Best regards PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 3, 2014 Yes, sir! But the it's a raging bull, can hardly be cool if so! Thank you for both your comments! PDE Link to comment

Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted January 3, 2014 Hello PD, So those healthy walker ladies have trespassed on your precious archeological discovery. What's the bull like a watchdog I guess. Now the guy in front is he the archeologist, love the hat. Brother there is always so much going on in your work and all very enjoyable. Take care my friend. A very healthy and happy New Year.Best Always,Holger Link to comment

PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi, Holger! Who knows what's the role of the bull, he is either guarding or threatening or guarding by threatening! See, it's like when the police is guarding the thieves and the archeologist will be accused for stealing valuable artifacts afterwards! Thank you for your thorough observation! Happy to you too, and why not healthy! PDE Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted January 4, 2014 An interesting composition and fun reading as usual Pierre. We have to deal with a lot of bull now days, the difficult part is filtering out what is real. There is always direction and a flow of energy in your images, they denote a positive and optimistic nature. Have a wonderful New Year my friend. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 4, 2014 There is quite clear story here, John! For example, in Bulgarian archeology history there is a huge collection of perfectly preserved pile of pure gold artifacts, only from ancient Tracia (Тракия)! In our archeology collections of artifacts no gold, no silver, no nothing, only years of disappearing of valuable artifacts! A mystery! Thank you for your positive energy transferred to me, considering the above I needed it badly! Happy New years, all of them that have left to you and to all of us! PDE Link to comment
DavidRabinowitz 8 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi Pierre, Happy New Year...i like this a lot...i'm not sure if this was your intention but the image shows a nice circular flow...i also like the colors and light...well done my friend...regards....David Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 4, 2014 Thank you, David! I wasn't aware of the circular flow, just arranged the elements to fit my aesthetic feelings! Happy New Year ( I don't know how many times by now, ha) PDE Link to comment
timothymuffitt 1 Posted January 6, 2014 Dear Pierre,This has a very strong effect, not just the power of the individual components, but their arrangement and especially the front-to-back depth of the entire scene. This is great as always!Tim Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 6, 2014 Not yet swallowed by the blizzard, Timothy? I'm happy for that and to be honest for the exact description of my picture! Thank you my friend! PDE Link to comment
chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted January 7, 2014 Hopefully the title does not refer to us viewers as trespassers,Petraki! (I know it does not!).Obviously you are in a very creative period ,leaving us in expectation of what's coming next! The runner(s) seem uninterested of the archeologist's efforts and the fierce bull's lowered horns, the quest of a good round time is far more their goal. Happy 2014,Petraki! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 7, 2014 Hristaki, file mou! Your comment is all right and thank you for the well composed story! Now, today is Xmas and you didn't know that and found appropriate to greet me a new year which is almost old now?! Ha! PDE Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 9, 2014 Another very imaginative and of course artistically creative masterpiece dear Pierre. Well thought out. Even though there are trespassers, everyone seems to be co-existing without harm!!Kind regards, Gail Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted January 9, 2014 Yes, you are right dear Gail! This is a picture of harmony! And the chief archeologist is turning his back to the trespassers, maybe someone told him to do so?! Maybe it's the raging bull who might be a representative of some higher levels of authority! That's all this story is about, Gail! Thank you for all of your three comments, you pleased me so much! PDE Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted January 11, 2014 A lot going on here , both in the image and mind ! A very skilful montage . Best wishes , Bill Link to comment
