bike in the train station

Nice colors and a lovely painterly effect.  Do you have a special program for this type of effect, or can you do it within the common editing programs? 

hi crystal, thank you for your comment. i use photoshop CS and a wacom drawing tablet. there are lots of layers and textures and a fair amount of drawing. in this case the bike had to be separated from the background (which was tedious given that the spokes disappear into the shadows and so on). that way i could build the background in a different way than the foreground. 

Nice treatment. Good use of textures. Not sure that the tunnel on the right helps. It tends to pull th eeye back and out of the picture. Good colors.
