Lee,  I really like this image.  Excellent vertical format with an impressive sense of distance.  You work the edistance with the horizon and clouds; the middle water area; and the beach into the image well as three elements that create a visual impact.   Larry

Fascinating textures and patterns in the foreground, well sculpted by the light. Very effective colour juxtaposition, well seen and captured, marvellous conditions for landscape photography. I only feel that bright top left corner really vies for attention with the foreground, my eyes are drawn to it.. (I'd either crop it post factum, or would have resolved the composition a bit differently whilst on location - to focus the viewer's attention within the image).

I used to have that Canon 10-22, used it with my 350D. A really decent piece of glass in its class.
