Intentionally over exposed slightly to bring out the shadowed

area.Comments would be very useful for this novice and would be

greatly appreciated.

Artistically it's very well done.  I really like the angry orange glow.

From the perspective of a technician there are things that could be done to achieve a more accurate photo of the moon, but I think that they would likely be less pleasing to look at.

If you're so inclined, I think that you could have fun making infinite variations of this shot.

Since there is so little color in this type of image you could make an HDR version which would give you much more control over the end product.  You would be able  to reduce the halo that's coming off the bright side as well as selectively changing the white balance for color effects and lots of filter effects as well.  You could even add in an exposure for the star field and really make it pop.

Nice work, I like it a lot.

Thank you for your expert advise. It is very inspirational and useful. As i indicated i consider myself not even at the beginning of the learning curve...Being a little on the older side i try to learn as much as i can so i can find my own style and still would have time to make those images which are in my mind..... I'will try to use HDR effect but i'm using just an inexpensive bridge camera which doesn't have RAW option so i have to use software but i think it would be a good opportunity to experiment on this image since i got good advise from you.

Again i thank you for your kind words.
