Really a strong picture and excellent comp and tone. Of course it is the eyes, so full of curiosity about the world outside, that sell the picture.

Striking poetic image.  Perhaps travelling for the very first time on this very big bus and going far far far away to see gran ma.  With excitement what he sees with his deep innocent eyes is way beyond the colourful and noisy wild urban reality. Now it's the instant of magic and that's the capture of this photograph. Nice one Daniel!

Daniel,

Strong image, I like the way you treated it as a b&w with strong tonal values, little in the way of mid-tones. The starkness really centers the focus on those eyes. Framing spot on. You were at the right moment at the right time & caught it. Thanks for this one.

For me, a powerful and emotional image.  The high ISO grain adds to the feel and appeal of this image.  I think this rates a 7/7 from me not just because it resonates with me but because it is done so well.  Excellent work, Daniel.

Beautiful image! Wonderfully emotional and striking image. The shadows and light on the child's face are perfect. I did notice a little black marking on the left side of the head. I am not sure if it is a hairband or some sort of reflection. Otherwise an amazingly beautiful photo.

No doubt this picture is interesting ... the intensity of the gaze, and the sharp contrast, add drama to it. I also like the treatment you gave to the image. Good work!

Kind Regards,

Rosario.
