Inn regard of the rules of composition here lacks a main point of view, or maybe it's the cloud surrounding the mountain top, but anyway it looks perfectly and leaves an impression of the vastness of the space depicted! The lighting is most appropriate as always!

Jerry, Federico and Pierre - many thanks for your visit and kind words of support.

 

Pierre, I took this shot in 2009 along with quite a number of other images acquired at this location for about 30 minutes. You are right that I wanted to share lots of sky and provide a sense of openness by giving a higher percentage to the sky contrary to the rule of thirds.  For what it is worth, the low cloud hugging the mountain top was moving fairly rapidly against the backdrop of higher clouds which were almost at a standstill. This gave me a number of photo opportunities.  Here is a more traditional shot which I loaded up to PN quite some time ago (2010?).

Tony, this is a grand shot with beautiful light, i would like to see this shot with more foreground or from a knees on the ground  perspective, once again a grand shot
