davidmccracken 2 Posted December 4, 2013 I have no idea why I created this. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
tony-mistretta 0 Posted December 4, 2013 I think I know, but I cannot say. Don't think too hard, just enjoy it for what it is and what it may symbolize. I think a little less highlight reflection on the leaf would be better. Maybe a polarizing filter would help that? Cheers. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted December 4, 2013 OK, I'm stumped as well. Mostly about how you managed to squeeze a leaf into a magnifying glass without damaging it. But the fact that I don't get it doesn't preclude my thinking that it took a great deal of creativity and craft to make it work.mhl Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 6, 2013 I wish I could comment on these two related images together. The related tone of the element inside the magnifying glass is wonderful. I like it when you experiment, great stuff results. Why is unimportant, that you did make these is! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted December 6, 2013 Tony, You are correct. If you enjoy something you just enjoy it for what it is. Did I enjoy making this? Yes I did. However, I still do not know why. Thanks a lot. Thanks also for your suggestion. Michael, Perhaps you words are a little too kind. I am not sure if you are joking or not about the fact I did not damage the leaf. Anyway! Thanks for taking the time. Mark, Experimenting is fun. The magnifying glass belongs to a friend. (I have one friend you know.) He asked if I would like to use it in a photograph. I thought I would take a shot of it before using it as a prop. I thought the resulting image was a little boring and so thought I would tart it up a bit with the leaf. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
breylac 0 Posted December 7, 2013 Hi David,I appreciate your photo because I see the focus on the lines of the leaf as the lines of the life in a hand and a questioning about future. Do I have to focus on my future ? Is it useful ? Helpful ? Necessary ?In an other hand, colors, composition and light are beautiful. And, finally, it's the most important.Best regards.Benoit. davidmccracken 2 Posted December 7, 2013 I think you see more in this image than I thought was present. However, perhaps we should all look more meaningfully at all images. Thank you. Link to comment
