I think it would be better if you had stepped around the small trees in the foreground and put the near edge of the stream at the bottom edge of the composition.

What you said as a stream is actually a narrow unpaved road. But that doesn't matter much.

I initially thought of doing that, to reach the edge of it and frame the top half of the frame. Latter it came to my mind to keep the play of light over the bushes in the foreground to split and blend the frame in two halves; and I thought to give it a try. Thanks for pointing it out; definitely it would have been a different and better composition.
