Another nice one Ian.  Great job capturing the action.  Looks like a strange landing, I've never had the chance to observe puffins in flight before.  The whole series is nice.  Well done.

These birds were taken on the Farne Islands which is on the upper east coast of England. The day was unusually sunny and warm for the Farnes so we had great light. You can see the heat haze in the air.

The farnes played host to 40,000 breeding pairs of puffins this year, the only problem that creates is which one do you photograph. They are leaving and coming back in large numbers. They fly really fast too.
