ciofalo 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Very good, of course. I understand you basically use the same technique as Marc Plonsky, i.e. a 50mm lens mounted reversed on the G5 zoom lens as a close-up diopter. I would like to know more of your technique, particularly of the light source. The DOF does not seem as large as in some of Plonsky's pictures, are you using the smallest diaphragm? Link to comment
nick_watts 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Michele, thanks for your comments..This shot wasn't taken using a flash so i had to knock it down a stop which resulted in a lesser DOF. I took the shot handheld while i moved the leaf(and spider)until they hit the "sweet spot" on my LCD. Link to comment
rock_li 0 Posted August 27, 2003 Why not follow Mark's technique and use a flash and a diffuser to give more posibility to use s maller aperture to increase DOF? Link to comment
