Trying to figure out how to improve these macro pictures.

Suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

A lighting spot of some kind.   Tensor light indoors or battery powered LED lights would help to give more texture to the insect and sparkle to the web, even a mist of water could be tried on the web,

Thanks very much Gerry for the suggestions.  You've got some great photos in your gallery.  This was taken with the Nikon R1 flash setup on the end of the lens outside.  I can try to increase the imbalance in the flash output from right to left flash?  I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a "lighting spot".  I'll try the water mist idea also, sounds like a neat effect.  -KA
