No fighting.

This hospital is as sterile as can be under the conditions, which is to say rather sterile, but not G E R M A N sterile.

Meir, you say you returned this to the camera's version, but that just is not true; this is very similar to what the camera recorded and showed on the LCD screen on the back with some toning down of the blowouts and a little burning and dodging, but basically this is the essential version you would have seen if you chimped the shot having taken it.

I liked it so much I took just one shot (also she moved rather quickly from that spot but no matter, since I did not plan to take another)  Other nurses were there in threes but not grouped properly and not standing, staring inward like this, so the composition just was not interesting at all.  And as a result no one will ever see them and like the other one half to one million photos on my hard drives they have only historical interest, in the manner of say, Van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo IF AND WHEN I BECOME KNOWN AS THE WORLD's MOST FAMOUS (posthumous) PHOTOGRAPHER (which is so unlikely to happen that you have a better chance crossing the Atlantic with a ticket on the Titanic and making it intact, retroactively).

You both are right; this is MY version; Meir's was Meir's version -- they're different, and in no way will I rain on Meir's parade -- I encourage other views and workups of my work so I can see what appeals.

While I reject many such workups, I remember in the previous photo, from a fast food restaurant, Rajat, that I did happen to like your crop, so sometimes there are some very good results from attaching workups.

So in no way will I discourage them at all, from you, from Meir, or from someone who joined Photo.net yesterday and does not seem too experienced so long as they post in 'good faith' and try to help.

I am not unhappy to have spirited debate either; no problem there.

That's the stuff of good intellectual and artistic ferment.

Keep it up (and never let it get personal).

Best wishes to you both.
