The Australian summer is on its way, and the roadside bushland is awash with wild flowers.

Out and about this past weekend, I couldn't resist a few shots of this Kangaroo Paw........... this was my first attempt with the macro feature of this lens. The focus band is very narrow so I had to "rock" backwards and forwards to hopefully get an in-focus shot.

Hi Grayham,

this is a really lovely photo of an Anigozanthos, not sure which variety (there are around 11 species) of Kangaroo Paw it is that you captured here. Your Macro feature should give you some great shots if this example is anything to go by!! Oh, and love the cute little spider!
