Gail this digital composition is one of your best, if not THE best...I like very much the way you succeed in translating your deep feelings in terms of visual masterpieces. Congratulations!

Sincere thanks Jack for sharing your thoughts on this composition. many feelings go through my mind if I stare at it too long. I agree about the 'energy', I even get the feeling that it is 'part water'.

Well I like your write up Gail, I'm delighted all is right in your world. I think it is definitely a form of stress relief for you and others I'm sure. The image itself has great color and geometrics but I like Jamies' description of a rocket taking off and seeing it from the bottom, right on. Take care.

Warm Regards,

Holger

Yes, things are fine in my world, we all have 'stressors' to deal with, and we all must find a way to 'cope'. This is the one outlet for me that I can truly escape in. I do like Jamie's view of what he sees as well, if I look at it long enough I can imagine I am standing under a Rocket that has taken off! many thanks Holger for dropping by, I enjoy hearing from you.

yes, if you stare at it long enough, it almost seems as if the image goes on forever! Sincere thanks David for your visit, I do appreciate the support!

Your confession ,Gail, about the circumstances (emotions created by the music heard) that escorted the creation of this image -perhaps-are more important than the image itself. That said, I made a virtual journey provoked by viewing this image in the innocent years when a kaleidoscope was the best means for a trip to the colorful imaginary world ~what an era! The square within a square ,interrupted by the symmetrical discipline of the diagonals and these colors made  that trip revive. Thanks!

P.S

i work on creating the necessary time that will make my visits not a surprise-that's the minimum you deserve!

Always in grateful appreciation of your kind -and exaggerating-encouraging comments!

I always enjoy the feelings you share when you visit Chris, and appreciate that you do. I was very surprised awhile back when I searched Kaleidoscopes online, that they make very artistic and sophisticated designs in wood now. I imagine there are those that collect them. The wooden ones would make a beautiful gift. As a child, they were like 'magically painting and creating patterns' that just thrilled me.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me, wish  you the best always, Gail.

Gail....Interesting to hear how photography feeds your soul and offers you a respite from 'real life', which can be overwhelming at times.   You so eloquently spoke what I guess most of us feel about photography.  I have a very stressful job, and photography allows me to completely get my mind off of it for a short time.  I am always re-energized and ready to go again after a day spent out shooting or with nature.  For me, the editing process isn't as relaxing because I'm so bad at it.  ;-)  But this is spectacular!  What electricity and energy!  It reminds me of the old kaleidoscopes.  I don't know what your original image was or how easy it would be to do, but you should consider doing a series of these.  They have the look of fine art and would be stunning as a collection.

Actually I have quite a few Abstracts similar, but different.

I truly enjoy this, and it is not too difficult, just time consuming and you have to know layers and blending modes. But I appreciate what you say about how Photography 're-energizes' you. It does take away the cares of 'our world' and often seems to 'centre' us again so we can once again 'focus'. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. I do enjoy hearing from you, hope the 'family' is doing fine!!!
