Hi Gareth,

A nice candid scene.

There are a few recommendations that I have:

1] The use of ISO 100 is not optimal for the NIkon D7000 camera. ISO 200 is better. The electronic package allows for a better development of the fuil range of the sensor itself. In fact, this is not only seen in my tests for the Nikon DSLR cameras, but for all the cameras presently on the market.

2] The exposure (dynamic range) is not fully developed, as the faces of the two girls are near the saturation level.

When ever you have people facing into the Sun, even at a perspective like this, it is best to either use different exposure values by manually selecting them or to set the metering system of your camera to "spot mode". There are no other components in this scene that could not be adequately developed even if your exposure was a factor of two faster (up to 1/3200 second).

You use of the 135 mm set point at F/2.8 was excellent for your zoom lens.

Best Regards my friend, Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for the pointers. This was very much a rush job, I swung the lens and hit the button hoping I would get a shot.

Regards

Gareth
