We had a Foggyearly morning with some very heavy Dew and I found

these late Summer Roses in the Garden.

Appreciate your taking the time to view, comment/critique and rate.

All comments are welcome!

Would like opinions on the horizontal (as shot) or should I have rotated

it?

Cheers,

Jim j.

Jim,

Of your most recent rose photos, I like this composition the best.  Your PP is excellent and the water drops enhance this image.  This little jewel is a classic. Bravo!

Many thanks!

Lately my photography attempts have been limited to the front or back yard! But we both know about "working with what we got" for subjects.

"One can always find something interesting to photograph!"

Thanks again Bill!

Regards always,

Hi Jim, This is a great rose shot with a nice dark BG. Viewing this larger revealed all the tiny water droplets as well as other fine details. Great color, this is a very good one.

Best Regards,

Holger

Hello Jim.  This rose is beautiful, the drops of rain are what attracts the attention here, decorating the flower and generating interest.  Also, I like the neutral background without distractions.  It has been pleasant to see the  picture in a larger size !

Rosario.

Nice one Jim ,dew on a flower brings it to life, however I prefer the rose to be in a more vertical position & would increase the sharpening.  Its all a matter of personal preference.Regards John

It seems to me that the droplets of water are equally as important as the rose.  Each of these elements grabs the viewer's eye, which is rewarded by a bird's-eye view of the glories of nature.

Well done!

WOW! Certainly did not expect so many responses and they are certainly appreciated!

Holger:     Many thanks for your visit and encouraging comments!

Rosario:   Thanks for your visit! Always feels good to know that ones attempts are capable of attracting attention.

John:        Thanks for your visit! I may have to do another version of this in a vertical position too! But I did like this "as shot" horizontal when compared to the more vertical rotation.  Thanks again!

Ruud:        Good to hear from you! I haven't posted much lately or spent much time here on the site lately! Hopefully that will change!

Robert:      Many thanks! As I indicated to John, I had looked at this rotated and in the vertical position but, just did not like it as much. Glad to see you liked this composition too!

Michael:     Yes, I agree that the dew droplets add life to the scene! Otherwise, it's always there in the Garden but just hadn't attracted my attention till the foggy morning. Thanks again!

Patsy:        Good to hear from you again! Many thanks for your encouraging comments and support!

Many thanks to you all!

Jim j.
