AmyHelmick 0 Posted September 29, 2013 Thanks to Billy K who has inspired me with his amazing diptychs. Though I have obviously seen diptychs and other multiples before, never before have they been paired as nicely as Billy K's. Here's my try at it. Link to comment
Mark Z 371 Posted September 29, 2013 Well done, Amy. Billy K. is taking us to some curious and thought-inspiring places, and more of us should follow his lead. Link to comment

gsphotoguy 3 Posted October 1, 2013 I love the way you find these great arrangements of objects and shadows and then capture them so beautifully. This is another wonderful example. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 4, 2013 An intriguing arrangement and division of objects both as a kind of diptych and within the panels themselves (especially the panel on the left with a lighter foreground in the lower portion and a deeper, darker background at the top). Link to comment
AmyHelmick 0 Posted October 4, 2013 Thank you Jack. What I myself find interesting is that these two photos were shot literally more than 6 months apart, in different settings and situations, and yet the shapes, forms and compositions turned out to be so similar. I did not pick up on this until I was looking for images to try as a diptych. I don't know what (if anything) that means, but the role of our unconscious in our art is something I always find interesting to consider. Thanks for looking and sharing your observations.Amy Link to comment

AmyHelmick 0 Posted October 6, 2013 I really think that Billy K is onto something with his diptychs. I'm wanting to work some more with multiples. It's a bit of a challenge to find separate pieces that go well together, but this process has been most informative to do. Thanks you for your review.Amy Link to comment
