Morning Sun Warmth

Observed this little Hummer perched in a Cedar Tree soaking up some

morning Sun for warmth as Autumn approaches.

I have observed them doing this for several days now. Often they will

make an attempt to catch an insect flying by, which is actually the shot

I'd like to capture.

I did find this shot interesting and was trying to capture some of the

iridescence colors of the Hummer.

This is about a 90% crop from the original.

I haven't been able to be around here much lately. (The internet access ability you know!)

Yes zoomed out to 400mm with the EF 100-400 and the f/5.6 widest aperture it seems to do pretty well with the DOF and backgrounds. Of course very dependent of the shooting distance. Here I think I'm actually shooting at about 20-30 feet.
