I had only a few seconds to take this shot before the sun vanished.

Focusing correctly and having the right exposure was very "painful". The

sun's glare inside my viewfinder was the reason I couldn't even see and

compose....I felt as if I had a huge flashlight straight to my eyes! Photo

taken in Serengeti N.P. (Tanzania). Thank you for your comments!

Theodore,

As someone already mentioned, . . . "the essence of Africa!"

I suppose that is why your excellent photograph here reminds me so much of the scene PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) uses in its opening scenes of its "Nature" programming!

Very well seen, exposed and shot resulting in some wonderful silhouettes against that wonderful sunset moment!

Regards always,

Jim j.

Just following up on some of my comments, . . .

As Kenneth indicates the somewhat distraction of the brush in the foreground of the Sun.

At first I thought so too but, after some thought, I felt it added to the overall atmosphere of the location.

Either in death of the tree that stood there in the past that was possibly "grazed" to its current state, . . . or, . . . in "new life" as a possible new growth tree!

Just my .02 worth!

Cheers!

Jim j.
